Marilyn Grabowski leads three Atlantic construction companies that service the utility industry. Infrared is a specialty paving contractor. Infrastructure performs maintenance of utilities, and InfraTrac locates underground utilities. The “Lady in Red” uses her sales and marketing background to educate the construction industry on why her services are preferred.
Tabitha (Toby) Stanislaw began actively championing minority and women business initiatives in 1985 at Metropolitan Edison Company. Today she is helping to drive supplier diversity goals and objectives for FirstEnergy which is one of the largest U.S. investor-owned electric utilities with over 6 million customers in six states (OH, PA, NJ, MD, WV and NY). Toby supports suppliers and advocacy organizations throughout FirstEnergy’s service territory and provides a local presence in central Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.
Toby has worked closely with the National Association of Regulated Utility Commission’s Utility Market Access Advisory Board to design and build the infrastructure needed for establishing supplier diversity councils across the U.S. Since 1996 she has worked with the Office of the Governor and the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to ensure inclusion of minority and women-owned businesses in the procurement practices of Pennsylvania based publicly held utilities. Toby currently serves as Chair of the Maryland FORUM reporting to
the Maryland Public Service Commission; she is a founding member of both the Public Utility Commission of Ohio’s Ohio GATE Advisory Council, and the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Supplier Diversity Development (SDDC) Council. The mission of these Council’s is to enhance business opportunities with the state’s regulated companies to foster a strong economy and a productive environment for the growth of minority, women-owned and service disabled veteran businesses throughout their state. She currently serves as Chair Emeritus of the Edison Electric Institutes Supplier Diversity Task Force, and as Chair of the Women’s Business Development Council of PA-sNJ-DE.
