Desiree Watson president and CEO of Wellness Interactive, Inc. has been engaged in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) for over 30 years. She has helped to shape the wellness industry, one of the fastest growing industries in the world. She has traveled globally, studying various approaches to integrated health and wellness. She shares her knowledge educating others on the approach to creating a lifestyle, which can be proactive when seeking good health care options. Ms. Watson’s travels allowed her to develop significant partnerships with other health and wellness professionals, and in 1997 she hosted her very first integrated health and wellness conference at the Grand Hyatt in New York City. The event, officially named a “A Women’s Day of Enlightenment” attracted both men and women desiring to learn more about a unique way to achieve emotional, physical and spiritual balance. As her vision expanded, Ms. Watson began incorporating marketing and strategic planning skills with other branding sources. In 2000, she founded Wellness Interactive, Inc. She led a team of professionals in developing the WI business model, which includes a multitude of products and services. The company owns a wide group of branding sources, which includes retail, multimedia, publishing, consulting and educational services, including its premier brand the Wellness Lounge. In addition Wellness Interactive, has constructed pop-up Wellness Lounges throughout the U.S. for clients, which include AARP, Kaiser Permanente, PGA/Glow Media, Releve Entertainment, Viacom, NBA Wives association and a host of others. The company also launched its flagship Wellness Lounge in South Orange, New Jersey in 2011.
